Lower Habanos prices in Germany

Starting July 1, 2002, 5th Avenue Products Trading GmbH, the official importer of Cuban cigars in Germany announced a price reduction of 21 per cent on average for 77 vitolas. That corresponds to about 1/3 of the Habanos assortment available in Germany.

Improved product availability, and consumer's price sensitivity due to price transparency by the Euro, are some of the reasons stated by 5th Avenue Products. Furthermore, it is also a measure to cope with the growing market share of cigar products from other regions.
